COMING IN 2011 in commemoration of Tennessee Williams' 100th Birthday

SUDDENLY LAST SUMMER

Directed by Cyndy A. Marion

Sept. 16-Oct. 2 at The Hudson Guild Theatre

Mr. Williams' grotesque portrait of human nature set in the Garden District of New Orleans. Often regarded as his most autobiographical work, Suddenly Last Summer raises bold questions about mental illness, sexuality and desire in its unyielding quest for the truth — no matter how brutal.

"AMERICAN WOMEN" — a series of new play readings by female playwrights about America

Mourning Sun by Jess Foster
Directed by Cyndy A. Marion

Love in the land of the chili pepper. Mourning Sun is an ill-fated love story between a Native American woman and a female tourist visiting Albuquerque from the Northeast. As they travel the landscape getting to know one another, assumptions melt, identities clash, and the two are challenged to cross new boundaries they might not be ready for. Mourning Sun was originally developed at the Fusion Theater in Albuquerque, NM.

Suite for Summer
by Robyn Burland
Directed by Leigh Hile

What happens when soccer moms fantasize about the young lifeguard at the pool, a husband wants to sleep with his best friend's wife, and a rich father-in-law calls the shots? Suite for Summer is a twisted tail of suburbia gone wrong, where boredom prevails, desire escalates, and honor no longer has a place.
