Thomas Keith. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Thomas is an editor at New Directions Publishing in New York, as well as the production manager and art director. He has been involved in the preparation of nineteen Tennessee Williams titles from New Directions, most recently Mister Paradise and Other One-Act Plays, The Traveling Companion & Other Plays, and A House Not Meant to Stand, for which he also wrote the introduction and notes. Keith is on the boards of advisors for the Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival and the Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival. For New Directions he has also edited the poetry of Jimmy Santiago Baca, Tennessee Williams, and a revised edition of the poems of Dylan Thomas. Along with Peggy Fox, he is the co-editor of Selected Letters of Tennessee Williams and James Laughlin, which will be published by W.W. Norton. Keith contributed a chapter to Undiscovered Country: The Later Plays of Tennessee Williams, and entries to The Tennessee Williams Encyclopedia. He also has lectured and written numerous articles about the 18th century Scottish poet Robert Burns for journals such as Studies in Scottish Literature, Robert Burns in America, and The Burns Chronicle, and he was named the 2004 W. Ormiston Roy Fellow of Scottish Literary Studies at the University of South Carolina.
